Montana is a carefully considered renovation of a heritage harbour-front apartment, balancing the character of the original building with a refined, contemporary update suited to modern living. As the original apartment did not do justice to its incredible outlook, the re-design reconfigures and opens the layout to capture uninterrupted views of Sydney Harbour and allow natural light to flow in.

The interiors evoke a sense of calm through a restrained and timeless material palette. Pale European oak flooring, cabinetry in warm grey tones, natural timber accents and textured wall finishes work in harmony to create a quiet cohesive space. Every inch is used thoughtfully: custom joinery creates a built-in TV unit and window seating designed specifically to frame the harbour view. It also allows storage space to be carefully integrated throughout the apartment, overcoming the constraints of apartment living while maintaining a clean and uncluttered aesthetic. The apartment is a beautiful adaptation to modern living that respects the home’s heritage environment.
