Approachable

Having worked in the industry for over 14 years and hearing the frustrations of friends and family, I started Orchid to build beautiful homes in a culture that focuses on the integrity of the build, putting clients first and excellent communication.

I am a carpenter by trade and have formed an enthusiastic team suited to a wide range of projects. Specialising in custom and architectural homes and alterations. We also build pools, complete structural landscaping and outdoor living areas.

Orchid is looking to be at the forefront of the shift towards sustainability in residential construction. In 2024 we will become recognised as HIA Green smart professionals and a certified Passive House Builder.

Geoff Raper

Project Manager

Geoff Raper is our seasoned Project Manager with nearly five decades of experience in the construction industry. Starting with an apprenticeship in 1975 at Meadowbank TAFE, Geoff has built an exceptional career marked by academic accolades and a successful entrepreneurial journey. He has worked in various roles, including work the Department of Public Works, the Government Architects branch, and as a building inspector for the Builders Licensing Board, specializing in dispute resolution. Geoff ran his own business after obtaining his builder’s license in 1987, then worked for another renowned architectural builder managing premium builds and large remedial works. Joining our team in 2021, Geoff hasn’t looked back and his extensive industry knowledge and project management skills contribute significantly to the team’s success.
