This project was a carpenter’s dream: an Australian coastal home exuding timeless elegance and charm. A cobblestone
driveway leads to the house, accented by sandstone wainscoting and a timber-look garage door. The exterior features classic weatherboard cladding with exquisite carpentry details, including oversized posts, exposed rafters, and V-joint lining.
A private northern entrance opens through a grand oak door into a welcoming foyer, where a baby grand piano sits. The
family play and sing together here. Inside, light oak herringbone floors and soaring 3-metre ceilings create a spacious,
sophisticated feel. At the rear, an oversized floor-to-ceiling door system fully opens to connect the interior seamlessly with
the alfresco, pool, and garden, blending indoor and outdoor living.
Natural light fills the home through 11 skylights, some custom-made by our team, brightening living spaces, bathrooms, and the laundry. A stunning 9-metre void connects the two levels, enhancing the openness and flow. Luxurious finishes, including Carrara marble benchtops and gold fixtures in the bathrooms, add refinement and functionality. Every detail was crafted to create a home that balances charm, elegance, and modern living. Caroline and Michael have shared that, even a year on, life still feels like a holiday in their beautiful home.
